Register for this event organized by the American Immigration Lawyers Association's (AILA) Law Student Committee to spend an evening of networking with like-minded young professionals while hearing from some of the foremost experts in immigration in the nation. In this virtual panel, you will:

  • Learn and interact from a panel of immigration law experts, who will share their insights, experience, and career advice,
  • Interact with other participants in breakout sessions. There will be at least two members of AILA in each breakout room for further discussion.

John Khosravi

John Khosravi is the Managing Attorney of the JQK Immigration Law Firm, Publisher of the Immigration Lawyers Toolbox Magazine, host of the Immigration Lawyers Podcast. John is the Former Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and Pepperdine Law School. He has also been rated by Thompson Reuters Super Lawyers and recognized by US News’ Best Lawyers. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and 2 small boys.

Joseph Tsang

Joseph Tsang is the inaugural Chair of the AILA National’s Law Student Engagement Committee, as well as the managing partner of Tsang & Associates PLC, an international law firm with offices in Los Angeles, Taipei, and Shanghai. Specializing in cases that require creative solutions, Joseph and his team focus on helping other firms and clients solve complex legal problems that require a fresh perspective. Author of Confucius Meets Shakespeare, Joseph is fluent in Chinese and English, while his team speaks fluent Korean and Spanish. Joseph is a frequent speaker and writer for the American Immigration Lawyer Association and has his own YouTube channel and podcasts focusing on immigration law and policies.

Catherine Betancourt

Catherine Betancourt is an Attorney at Flynn Hodkinson in London, U.K., where she practices U.S. immigration law exclusively. Her practice involves preparing both family-based and employment-based applications for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas to the United States. As a U.S. immigration attorney abroad, her primary focus lies in the consular processing of visas at various embassies worldwide, including drafting treaty-based visa applications for corporate clients, preparing marriage-based immigrant visa applications, and assisting with renunciations of US citizenship.
