Annual Conference Scholarships
E. Michael Berger Scholarship
The E. Michael Berger Scholarship honors the memory of a long-time AILA member who passed away in 1989. This scholarship is sponsored by AILA and is available to attorneys, especially those who work for certain nonprofit organizations and/or do a significant amount of pro bono work.
Volunteer Scholarships for Law Students and AILA Members’ Paralegals
A limited number of conference registration scholarships are available to the paralegals/legal assistants of AILA members and full-time law students in exchange for volunteer assistance at AC23.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarships
AILA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will award up to four in-person and six virtual AILA 2023 Annual Conference scholarships to AILA attorney members from diverse backgrounds with financial need. DEI scholarship recipients are asked to submit a blog post for AILA’s Think Immigration blog.

Annual Conference Navigator Program
Get the most out of your AC23 experience! The Annual Conference Navigator Program is designed to help first-time attendees, particularly new AILA members, navigate the Annual Conference while getting to know others who are new to AC23.
Attendees who sign up for the Conference Navigator Program will be assigned to a group led by an Annual Conference veteran/actively involved AILA member who will help first-time attendees get the most out of their AC23 experience.
The sign-up period for the Navigator Program has ended.

2023 Immigration Impact Awards
Be a part of an exciting night filled with immigration heroes, old friends and new, and celebrating our creative writing contest winner.

The 2nd Annual Superheroes 5K Run for Justice
Organized by the AILA Central Florida Chapter*, the 2nd Annual Superheroes 5K Run for Justice will take place at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center on Friday, June 23, at 6:30 AM. Lace up your running shoes and be part of this event, which will benefit the American Immigration Council and the Orlando Center for Justice.

AILA Saturday Night Party — Bring a Guest!
This year’s conference will conclude with a lively celebration on Saturday, June 24, starting at 8:00 pm at the House of Blues in Disney Springs. Join us for an evening of food, drinks, music and more! Shuttles will be provided from the Gaylord Palms and conference Disney Resort hotels.
Schedule
- 6 pm–Midnight: Shuttles between all AILA hotels and Disney Springs. Enjoy time on your own at Disney Springs before the AILA event.
- 8 pm: AILA Saturday Night Party at the House of Blues Starts with Dinner Buffet (while supplies last)
- 8:30 pm-9:30 pm – Motown Madness Band: Go back to the good old days, enjoy an incredible evening of high-energy, interactive entertainment provided by the most talented impersonators in the world (Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and The Blues Brothers), performing with a soulful Motown band.
- 9:30 pm-11 pm – DJ and Dancing
Admission to this event is free for Annual Conference attendees. If you are bringing a guest, please purchase their ticket with your AC23 registration.
